Texas State/U Cincinnati - Picota, Peru        Mission Trip Application - March 2026
DATE - March 14-21, 2026

  1. Team will be comprised of students and staff from Texas State University and the University of Cincinnati.  Serve the rural poor in the Peruvian countryside, Amazon region.  This is an evangelization-focused trip, with an emphasis on the direct proclamation of the Kerygma to the rural people.  Team will be hosted and accompanied by the Francis Institute in Picota, Peru, walking alongside as they carry out their mission.  Will require walking through mountainous terrain, sleeping in simple, yet adequate accommodations, home visits, preparing Gospel-oriented skits and presentations, participating in the Sacraments, and building relationships with the local populace.  Spanish capability is preferred, not essential.
