Volunteer with Make Stuff!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Make Stuff : )

Make Stuff is a digital skills and creativity festival that took place will across community venues in Stockport from Autumn 2023 to May 2024. Make Stuff is taking a break for now, but will be back soon. In the meantime, we’re on the hunt for volunteers who can help us to support future events in Stockport. That might be in the form of running a workshop, mentoring a young person, photography, or admin. There are many different forms that volunteering can take, and we welcome all-comers and skill levels.

In return, you’ll be volunteering in a supportive environment and learning new skills along the way. There’ll also be regular socials and opportunities for training, where you can grow your skills and network.

Our valued volunteers are motivated to get involved for a variety of reasons, like: gaining work experience, expanding their professional networks, acquiring transferable skills, and supporting their community.

Tell a little more about you by completing this volunteer form, and we’ll be in touch to get the ball rolling.

How it works

Our volunteering opportunities are flexible, designed to fit around your availability and interests.

When

Weekdays and/ or weekends to suit you. Sign up for a one-off, or commit to a run. The choice is yours.

Support

We know that, especially with a cost of living crisis, things can be tight. So we will cover costs for volunteers in terms of transport (if needed). We also have some remote volunteering roles. If there are any other barriers to your taking part, please let us know and we can see what we can do to help.
