2) Raids - either 9th pf Feb, 9th of March or 23rd of March: Raids are a great way to do some direct fundraising. Here we dress up in fancy dress and roam the streets of Edinburgh shaking buckets. Each raid's collection will go to one of our chosen charities. Shifts can be as long as you like, but start at two hours. It is a great and fun way to directly fundraise and do some charity work.
3) Meadows Marathon - 3rd of March: on this annual fundraiser we will be needing help with the set-up, marshalling of the course, general cheerleading and photography of the event. It is a super fun day, filled with a 5k, 10k, Relay, Half- and Full Marathon. It is a big event which is held in the center of the local community, and really rewarding to do with some friends. Here, there will also be a compulsory training session. This is the separate sign up form to volunteer as it is such a large event:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdrEfyXMkTxKJEQLCmJz9x4MNhLVsidn0Nnawv178bcAXIiGQ/viewform
4) Helping hands (dates tbc): This lovely initiative is also a great way to do some direcr charity work. Here, we sell gloves for a small profit to students outside the library, who can either keep the gloves or donate them. Along with the profit made, all donated gloves will be given to the homeless charity Streetwork. This is a great way to volunteer and directly impact the community. Shifts are at least an hour long.
