Note From OSPI

For submission for this year which were due January 31st for re-approval and April sometime for New courses to be offered Fall of 2012 can be completed on any format you wish with alignment to the most current Washington standards (EALR's & GLE's.)

For submission for Courses to beginning 2nd semester of 2013 due October 15th or so same rules as above.

For Submission for re-approval for the 2013-14 school year due Jan 31st 2013 and every submission after that you will be required to:

POINTS OF INTEREST

Performance assessment contains formative and summative assessments directly tied to the standards and competencies.

Leadership Alignment: More of a performance statement of how the student will measured in accomplishing identified 21st century skills.

Standards should be based on National Industry, State Industry, Vendor (textbook or curriculum) when available (in order of importance)

Aligned Washington State Standards:
Current EALR's and GLE's for all areas not covered by common core standards and the Newest state standards if released by then.

Common Core standards for reading, writing, communication

New State Science standards if released

21st Century Skills Box. Only required to be at the end of your document, however many districts have already switched to the new format and are including this box after each standards, checking only those that applied to that standard or Unit and writing their leadership alignment (assessment of project, activities, instruction) to the 21st century skills for that standard.
