Here is a quick way to determine if you're ready for angel funding. We don't ask for your name or capture your contact information. No one sees your answers except you. We just get the blinded answers so we know how to improve the assessment test. Once you've completed the assessment, see the recommended next steps that follow.

Check all statements that are TRUE about your business

We are headquartered in MT and organized as a C-Corp or an LLC in MT or DE

We are headquartered outside MT, organized as a C-Corp, and already have a lead investor angel group or VC firm

We expect our business to grow to have annual revenues of over $10M in just a few years

We have developed unique tools/technologies based on specialized expertise that would be VERY hard for competitors to duplicate -OR- we have patents granted or applications pending

You may want to seek further assistance from Blackstone Launchpad, 406 Labs, MonTech, or your local Small Business Development Center (www.sbdc.mt.gov) to help you further develop your business plan.

Check all statements that are TRUE about your business

We primarily sell products or tech-enabled solutions, services are only a small (or no) part of our revenue

Once we are running at scale, we expect to earn 70% gross profit margins or better (revenue minus cost of goods sold) on the sale of our solutions to customers

We have customers paying us to use our products/solutions -OR- we are in the early stages of seeking regulatory approvals

We have at least 2 people working full-time in our business today

We have funded our business so far with ONLY our own funds plus money we raised from friends and family AND/OR we have received grant funding from SBIR, NIH, or another government agency AND/OR we have received at least $200k in funding from an organized group of angels who performed extensive due diligence on us
