Information Sheet B.Teach 1st Year 2017 EDUC 1100 Intro to Teaching & Learning
The Teachers Registration Board of South Australia requires all students to undertake a minimum number of weeks Professional Experience Placement (PEP) in order to register as a teacher.

B.Teach 1st year students complete, EDUC 1100 Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Semester Two, include in this course is placement in a Primary school for 5 full days or 10 half days over the course of term three commencing 24 July and completing by 29 September 2017. Some schools require students to complete their placement in one full week and this is usually the week commencing 24 July. You will be emailed in regard to offerings of placements at these schools.

Transport Details All Students
Please indicate your mode of transport this is taken into account when allocating schools to students. Professional Experience placements are determined by the availability of places offered by schools. Transport arrangements may necessitate travel time of up to 90 minutes or more one way to attend professional experience. Those students relying on public transport will be allocated to a school that they are able to reach via bus and/or train. This may not be the nearest school if travelling by car if that school cannot be reasonably accessed by public transport.
