REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL January 19th, 2025
Hello,
Moving platforms requires all players to re-register even if they participated in the previous season because some of the core rules also have changed. (In future seasons, returning players are enrolled automatically, and only new players are required to register).
Here's the overview of the changes:
— Group size is reduced from 5 to 4.
— Every player now plays 2 games against each opponent.
— Thinking time is now 20 days per player.
— The game now ends in a loss automatically for the player whose time runs out as soon as it runs out.
— Second tiebreaker is now number of wins in games played with black color (was number of games played as black).
The group seeding for 2025 February Season for returning players will be defined by
ADJUSTED KotH ELO after October 2024 Season. Group seeding for new registrations will be random.
The registration will close January 19th, 2025. The games of the new Season start February 1st. You will receive the invitation between January 20 and January 15 and will have a few days to respond to the invite.
