Every year, our Treasurer develops the Northwoods’ budget based on projected income from fundraisers and pledges. The budget is submitted to the Board of Trustees who, in turn, send their final recommendation to members for approval at our annual meeting.
Until you say otherwise, this pledge is continuous from year-to-year. Pledges do not “expire” at the end of the fiscal year, June 30. They continue year-to-year, adjusted annually on July 1 for the previous year’s change in the cost-of-living index, unless or until you make a change.
Once you have pledged, your pledge can be adjusted—up or down—at any time by going to the online Pledge Adjustment Form (this form, found on the online giving page of our website).
The cost-of-living adjustment for 2022-23 is +6.5%, recommended by the Stewardship Committee with concurrence by the Northwoods’ Board of Trustees. The Stewardship Committee makes a cost of living adjustment recommendation every year.
If you pay by auto-draft, your draft amount will be automatically adjusted at the beginning of every pledge year. You will be notified via email of the adjustment amount. If you would prefer to make this change yourself, contact our Administrator (firstname.lastname@example.org
