2023 Alumni Conference ("Wally Camp" ) Registration 
Wally Camp is alive and in person once again! This year's Warren Wilson/Goddard MFA Program for Writers Alumni Conference will take place at Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley Massachusetts.

  • Full stay runs from Saturday, August 5 to Saturday, August 12. This includes all meals, starting with dinner on August 5, through breakfast on August 12; dorm accommodations; and activities. 
  • Short stay  runs from Tuesday, August 8. Same as above, starting with dinner on August 8. 
  • Commuter option includes the same as above, minus dorm accommodations. 

Cost (before April 24; from April 24 onward a $25 surcharge applies): 
* Full stay. $ 880
* Short stay: $ 515
* Commuter: $ 495

Cancellations before May 3 will receive a refund, minus a $25 charge. Between May 3 and June 15, minus $100 charge. No refunds after June 15.

Important dates:
  • February 10 - Registration Opens.
  • March 30 - Scholarship requests due.
  • April 7 - Scholarship applicants notified of awards
  • April 24 - Conference cost increases by $25 
  • June 15 - Registration CLOSES. Payment due on or before today.  Scholarship recipients’ balance due. Any paper applications or checks must be received by (not postmarked by) this date. Class proposal & workshop choice due.
  • June 22 - Workshop groups, classes, & reading schedule emailed to registrants and posted on Wally Camp website
  • June 24 - Workshop drafts due to group members (or as decided by groups)

Cancellation policy: Cancellations before May 3 will receive a refund of fees paid, minus a $25 charge. Between May 3 and June 15, cancellations will result in a $100 charge. No refunds after June 15. We apologize, but we cannot make exception for COVID or other sudden illness.

PAYMENT: You're not done until you pay up! 
  • To pay online by PayPal, be sure to visit the Wally Camp website (click any of the links in your copy of the registration form). There will also be a PayPal button on the FOW site.

  • Be sure to make checks payable to “Friends of Writers” NOT to David.
If you are applying for a scholarship, there will be time after scholarships awards are announced for you to pay whatever part of the conference fee you are liable for.

Dorms are not air conditioned (though classrooms, the library, and some other buildings are). August in the Berkshires can be sultry and muggy, or cool and pleasant; you never know. We recommend that you bring a fan, ask a friend to bring one who is driving, or rent one from the college for $15. If you would like to rent one, check below. You can decide later, but there are a limited number and they are offered on first-come, first-served basis.
