You must complete this form to be involved with the AUO Symphony or Chamber Orchestra during the Fall 2025 term.

Those who are interested in the AUO Symphony must submit an audition, however, an audition is strongly encouraged by anyone interested in either of the orchestral ensembles. Please note, an audition does not guarantee placement within the AUO Symphony. We try our best to include as many players as logistically and artistically possible, but this is not always possible.

*Principal players/Section Leaders are responsible for holding their sections accountable for preparing their parts. Other duties include knowing the repertoire, offering help to struggling members, determine bowings and/or section breathing, and signal entrances/exits. These individuals are charged with listening closely and working together to find cohesion and balance within the ensemble. Returning AUO members who choose 'Yes' are asked to submit an audition.

If you are auditioning/seeking to join the AUO Symphony and had a preference, which half of the concert would you prefer to play?

For example, some members play in both Chamber Orchestra and AUO Symphony. Rather than playing on both halves with the AUO Symphony, some play only on 1 half so they don't have to attend a 4 hour rehearsal from 6-10pm every Sunday evening.

*Please note the Music Director cannot guarantee this request because he needs to ensure that the ensembles are well-balanced.
