ACLGIM WELL Program Interest Form
The next phase of ACLGIM's Work Life & Wellness Program will focus on building a community of certified “Wellness Champions” (WCs) who can improve worklife conditions at their home institution and to take their knowledge to other institutions facing stress and burnout. This year-long program will include an in-person training session prior the 2018 SGIM Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 10th and continue with further cohort discussion and collaboration via an online community.

Program Details:

In-Person Training: One 7 hour session will be held prior to the 2018 ACLGIM Management Training and Leadership Institute and the SGIM national meeting in Denver, CO, Tuesday, April 10, 2018. This session will train 20-25 national leaders in general internal medicine and partner primary care fields in mechanisms of stress, adverse and favorable work conditions, means to measure work conditions (short and long measures), specific issues surrounding the electronic health record (EHR), successful intervention types that can be readily implemented for system change, and examples of resilience training for enhanced coping. The session will consist of a mix of didactics, small groups, and interactive hour long active learning moments with high impact and long-lasting effects.

Online Community: Using SGIM and ACLGIM’s online community – GIM Connect, a WELL community will be created for all WC’s. Dr. Linzer and his team from Hennepin will join the community to provide guidance and resources and to field questions from WC’s. To encourage regular discussion, prompts will be distributed by Dr. Linzer via the discussion board. All resources provided at the training in phase one and any articles, tools, surveys, etc. shared with the group after will be cataloged in the library section of the WELL community.

ACLGIM is inviting 20-25 GIM and partner primary care leaders to join this inaugural cohort.

Program Fees:

ACLGIM Member Program Fee: $1,500
ACLGIM Non-Member Program Fee: $2,500

The program fee covers the one day in-person training session on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 and access to the WELL online community. The fee does no include travel or hotel costs for the in-person session.

Selection Process:

Consideration for the program will be based on your letter of support, demonstrating your Divisions willingness to consider and address burnout.

Please send a letter of support from you Department Chair or Medical Director that states that your Division is interested and willing to implement a mini-z survey to understand and predict stress and burnout within your Division. This letter must also state the Divisions willingness to implement recommended changes to mitigate stress and burnout within your Division.
