Design Your Careers "Public Speaking for Beginners" Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn the basic steps of how to write and confidently deliver a speech. By the end of the workshop, you will have learned how to be confident while delivering an amazing speech whether it is prepped or given on the spot!


Public Speaking is something everybody does even without knowing it. Whether it’s while giving a presentation in class to when talking to many of your friends. The definition of public speaking is just that, giving a speech or presentation to a live audience. With this workshop, you will learn the basics that every speech needs, how to be confident while giving a speech, and how to give a speech on the spot, which are called impromptu speeches. All you need to bring with you is ideas for speeches, a pen, and paper.

When: August 24th, 31st, and Sept 14th (3 sessions)
Who: Ages 8 to 12 years
Time: 4 PM - 5 PM PST Class (1 hr sessions)
7 PM - 8 PM EST Class (1 hr sessions)
