We believe in the fundamental spiritual principle that the Earth is sacred and interconnected.

We are people of faith and spirit from diverse traditions who are deeply concerned about the climate crisis. We know that climate change disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable populations, we affirm our moral responsibility to act with compassion, justice, and courage.

In the face of a new federal administration that has signalled its intent to dismantle our national climate commitments to the greatest degree possible, we resolve to organize and mobilize for a just and sustainable future for all people and the planet.

We commit to working individually and in our faith communities as we are able to:

1. Raise Awareness: We will educate ourselves about the moral and spiritual dimensions of the climate crisis we face, and encourage one another to greater ecological care and responsibility.

2. Witness and Speak Truth: We will call on businesses and governments to lead the way to a just energy economy rather than continue to profit from human suffering and planetary exploitation and destruction.

3. Act for Climate Justice: We will act in support of policies that prioritize renewable energy development, a just transition for workers dependent on the fossil fuel industry, and support for communities suffering permanent losses from climate change.

4. Join a Global Movement: We will participate in interfaith efforts, united by our shared commitment to protecting our planet and ensuring climate justice for current and future generations.

We recognize that our faith calls us not merely to witness the crisis but to be agents for change.
