A. QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOARD MEMBERSHIP: 1. Member in good standing for no less than one year. 2. Demonstrated leadership qualifications/capabilities. 3. Must be committed to the growth of the organization.
B. RESPONSIBILITIES OF BOARD MEMBERS: 1. Required attendance to at least one new member orientation yearly. 2. Attendance at the annual Board of Directors strategic planning meeting. 3. Attendance at the Annual Community Awards Banquet. 4. Prompt attendance at each regular and special Board meeting. This involves the commitment of at least one and one half-hours for each meeting. Missing three (3) meetings during a calendar year may result in removal from the Board as determined by the Executive Council. 5. Attendance at the monthly business mixers. 50% or more. 6. Responsible to assist in the recruitment of members and the reactivation of delinquent members. 7. Assist the Chamber with communications about its programs through personal, ancillary, and business contacts. 8. Participation in Chamber’s major fundraisers i.e., golf tournament, FOTS, etc. 9. Participation on at least one committee and reporting progress to the board on an ongoing and regular basis. 10. Attendance at ribbon cuttings when available. 11. Must not be involved with a competing entity. 12. Strict adherence to the confidentiality policy is required. 13. Support chamber staff and assist in their growth and development
