We are looking for undergraduate students who are interested in getting involved in research and can commit to at least two years to to the lab, either as a CSUN student and/or as post-baccalaureate researcher (e.g. if you are a senior this year and graduating in the next year, your second year would be as a post-baccalaureate researcher).
Undergraduate Research
Assistants (RAs) are students invited by the Principal Investigator (PI) to
join the research team and assist with research projects currently taking place
in the laboratory. The purpose of these positions is to allow students to
become familiar with the research process by actively participating in data
collection for ongoing projects, and to provide students with valuable learning
experiences during their undergraduate education.
RAs typically gain skills in administering psychometric (e.g. surveys), optometric (e.g. eye tracking) and/or biomechanic (e.g. gait) assessments, collecting data from human participants, reviewing literature, discussing and developing experiment designs, and collaborating with lab members on data analyses and preparation of professional dissemination of results.
Please note that this is not a paid position in general, though there are some opportunities to be paid through our existing grants.
