Outcomes vs. Behaviors Worksheet
Some goals are better than others. Most of us set Outcome Goals, that is, we identify what we want. There is nothing inherently wrong with this however, most of us stop there. This exercise helps take things one step further by breaking down the behaviors needed to reach that outcome (e.g. the things you’ll actually do to get there)
First, let’s start with What Do You Want (e.g. to lose 10 lbs and be healthy, $1,000,000 in the bank, etc.)?
Alright, great! That wasn’t so bad was it. Now, what can you do THIS MONTH to work toward the goal you identified above?
Sweet! Let’s keep this going. What about THIS WEEK? What can you do this week to help you move closer to that goal?
Yeahyeahyeah! Great job. Now, what about TODAY? Anything you can do today to move you closer to your goal.
Now, we could stop here but let’s have a little fun. This one might be a little tricky but it’s important. What can you do RIGHT NOW to help you move even just a tiny bit closer to the goal you identified above?
Is there anything in here you'd like to discuss further (If yes, I'll reach out)?
