2020 Presenting Denver Dance Festival New Work Application
Presenting Denver and The Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts are seeking world premiers of new and original dance/choreography solos, duets, group, and interactive/immersive dance performance with a maximum of 10 performers to be performed live at the 2020 Presenting Denver Dance Festival. We are seeking submissions in all dance genres and dance forms. Applicants and performers must be Colorado residents ages 18 years or older living in the state of Colorado. Regrettably, we are unable to consider submissions for aerial dance at this point in time.

Submissions are accepted between June 1- July 31, 2019 at midnight MST. Late submissions will not be considered, including submission and non-refundable application fees received after the submission date has passed. Accepted pieces will be a part of the 2020 Presenting Denver Dance Festival taking place on June 20-21, 2020.

Selected Artists will be invited to perform new works on the Main Stage or Pubic Stage. Jurors will view the applicant name, company name (if applicable), the previous work examples, new work description, dance genre(s), anticipated number of dancers, and anticipated length of work. Invitations to perform at the Dance Festival are based on the overall juror ranking.

We are accepting one application per Artist per category. Artists may complete both the New Work and Community Presentation applications, but the applications must be for different presentations. Selected applicants will be invited to participate in one category only.

Our audience spans a wide variety of ages and cultures. Please be mindful of the content you choose to submit. Sexually suggestive content, costumes, or simulated violence may offend some audience members. Due to the expected attendance of children, nudity and profanity will not be permitted.
