Art & Science Night
Location: USF College of Marine Science (830 1st St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701) KRC building
Date: November 13th
Time: 7-9 PM
Free event! You will be responsible for buying your own art supplies.

Art and science seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum, but art is a science of its own and artists can be inspired by all things nature. USF College of Marine Science invites artists to experience how scientists view the world with the hopes of inspiring a new piece of work. Artists will have the chance to look under microscopes at living plankton, see the deadly beauty of a virus infecting a cell, paint with live bacteria, and view the magnificent layers of sediment cores. After the science event, artists will have over a month to work on their pieces, which will be shown at an art exhibit on January 8th.

All levels of artists are welcome.
