The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is promulgating Chapters 9 of Workers’ Compensation rules regarding Fee Schedules, and now seeks public comment on the proposed rules.
The DWS Workers’ Compensation Division reviewed the conversion factors included in
the payment methodology for all medical services provided to claimants as
implemented in the most recent rule change dated 1/13/2023. During this review, it has been determined
that the most recent change has significantly decreased the reimbursement rate
for MRI services. Therefore, these changes include the update to the MRI conversion factor, clarifying language to existing rules, and minor grammatical updates to ensure uniformity and consistency throughout the chapter.

Public comment will close on Wednesday, June 28.
