Parish Application for VIA Missionaries
This application should be completed by the Pastor or the Parochial Vicar. Please complete this to the best of your knowledge. It may take some time to complete and, unfortunately, must be done in one sitting. We highly recommend you review (and possibly print out) the questions before beginning to complete so as to have all necessary time to gather information and thoughts.

This information is an important source in our discernment of which parishes will receive missionaries and which missionary candidates we accept to the initiative so as to coordinate strengths of missionaries with the needs and charisms of particular parishes. Application for VIA Missionaries is not a guarantee of candidacy. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions for more details regarding the full application process and timeline.

What does a successful youth ministry look like to you? How is this informed by the discipleship-based ministry model in which the missionaries will be trained? *
Here we refer to "discipleship-based youth ministry" to describe a ministry where there are some large group components, some small group components, and some one-on-one mentoring. This reflects the ministry of Jesus who preached at times to the masses, spent a lot of time with twelve disciples, and deeply invested in three of those disciples - Peter, James, and John.
