Climate Advocacy Training for Youth (CATY) 2023 Enrollment Form
Climate Advocacy Training for Youth (CATY) aims to empower youths in Hong Kong who have a dedicated concern towards climate emergency and environmental sustainability, by nurturing them to take part in the climate advocacy movement. The training and mentorship are designed to enrich participants with knowledge in local and international climate concerns, advocacy techniques, as well as experience in debates and international conferences. For details of CATY 2023, please refer to the tentative course plan:

To enroll, please fill in the application form below and submit all supporting documents via email. Documents and essays should be sent to with an email titled [CATY 2023_Your full name]. Applications are due 20 March 2023 (Monday). 

Documents include:
  1. Photocopy of your HKID Card

  2. Curriculum Vitae

  3. Copies of certificates of academic/professional qualifications (where applicable)

  4. Official or unofficial transcripts of tertiary level studies (where applicable)

  1. A 400 words personal statement in Chinese, introducing yourself and the reasons why you want to join this programme, and;

  2. A 800-2,000 words essay in English on one of the following topics: i. What are the pros and cons of the current Hong Kong long-term decarbonization plan? ii. What are the impacts brought by climate change? Why does it matter to youth and children? iii. A proposal of a climate advocacy campaign in Hong Kong

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview during March and April 2023.
