Deaf Awareness Week Webinar Series Day 1
The Philippine National Ear Institute, together with the UP College of Allied Medical Professions, UP-PGH Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Newborn Hearing Screening Reference Center, will hold a 2-part webinar series entitled "Bridging the Gap: Facilitating effective communication between the Deaf community and healthcare professionals" on November 14 and 16, 2023.

DAY 1 | November 14, 2023, Tuesday 2-3pm: Better Communication Strategies for Persons with Hearing Loss
This webinar is open to all healthcare professionals who are interested in learning about strategies to help improve communication with patients who are hard of hearing and/or who are on hearing aids.

DAY 2 | November 16, 2023, Thursday, 2 to 4:30pm: Orientation to Deaf Culture and Basic Sign Language Training
This webinar will be an interactive session facilitated by Deaf and Terp. We will be limiting the Orientation to 100 attendees (first come first served, prioritizing UP Manila/ PGH faculty, students, and staff), while the Basic Sign Language workshop will be limited to 40 attendees for now.
