Regatta Food: A food fee of $40 covers food for both rowers and families at all regattas during the Spring season. If this fee represents a hardship, it is not required, but please ensure that you have filled out allergy information below.

Equipment Fund: Medford High School funds the coaches stipends, buses, regatta fees, boat trailering, and insurance (partially covered by your school athletic fee).

However, rowing equipment is unfortunately expensive and Friends of Medford Rowing (FOMR) provides funding for all other equipment and maintenance needs. This includes purchasing used boats (the most affordable used boats are between $3,000 to $8,000 or more) along with motors, launches, boat repairs/upgrades, cox equipment, rower awards, and much more.

Families and friends have been SO supportive of the fundraising events, from raffles to restaurant nights. By keeping fees and expenses low, we enable every rower to have the opportunity to participate. In comparison, rowers in area club programs (such as Gentle Giant or CRI) pay registration fees of about $700 per season or more.

If you can afford it, please consider making a donation to Friends of Medford Rowing this season, 100% of which would directly benefit the team. Any donation of $250 or more would even allow you to dedicate a seat in one of our boats in the name of a friend
or family member.
