Groundwork NOLA is partnering with Plant 4 Peace NOLA to plant memorial trees that will honor the lives of youth who have been victims of school shootings & violence.

We're planting trees as a symbol of hope, love, and solidarity.
Trees provide many benefits including natural beauty, stormwater management & air quality protection.
Some studies have even shown reduced crime rates in areas with more trees.

Trees will be planted in the 7th Ward and Upper 9th Ward neighborhoods.

Plant 4 Peace 2018 will take place on:
Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00am
@ The Autocrat Social Aid and Pleasure Club, 1725 St Bernard Ave

We will be holding a Project Orientation/Safety Training & Demo Event to teach volunteers how to properly plant trees. This demo will be approximately one hour and will take place prior to the event, in our Earth Lab (2372 St. Claude Ave, next door to the Healing Center) on Wednesday, November 28 @ 4:30pm.
