Please complete the entire application if you are interested in becoming a volunteer. This will take approximately 5 minutes. (NOTE: This application does not a guarantee a volunteer spot.) When form is complete click SUBMIT button at end of page.

ATTIRE
All volunteers MUST wear closed toed shoes and comfortable knee-length clothing that can get dirty. Appropriate dress is pants or capris and t-shirts (nothing revealing).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Most volunteers must be able to lift 20 lbs. and stand for an extended period of time. There are some opportunities for those unable to do so.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

Nourish Programs
New York Common Pantry’s Nourish program distributes nutritious food to senior citizens 1-2 times a month at each of our partner sites. Re-occurring volunteers are needed at these sites which are located throughout NYC. Please check which sites you are interested in.

VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
I certify that the statements made in this volunteer application are true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that as a volunteer I am required to abide by all rules and regulations of New York Common Pantry. I also understand that I will not be paid for my services. I understand that volunteerism at New York Common Pantry may mean working in warehouse conditions and can include, but is not limited to, lifting, working around heavy moving equipment, and handling damaged food products. I hereby accept and assume full responsibility for any injury I might suffer while volunteering at New York Common Pantry.
