Opportunities
Committee membership means an ongoing commitment. Members who indicate they are available to help at single events are contacted as opportunities arise.
Committee Opportunities
All members are welcome to attend Committee meetings. Committees meet at varying times; some meet monthly; others meet by conference calls or video calls. See our website Calendar for meeting times:

Action and Advocacy: Monitors, recommends and takes action on local, county and state legislation related to League positions.
Representative Government: Follows issues related to voting rights, election processes and campaign finance. Includes the Observer Corps (attends local government meetings).
Social Policy: Promotes social and economic justice and the health and safety of all. Follows issues related to equal rights and equity.
International Relations: Examines international issues using the Foreign Policy Association's "Great Decisions" materials.
Natural Resources: Works on issues related to resource management and environmental protection.
Communications: Internal to members; external to the community. See Technical Support Opportunities below.
Resource and Fund Development: Creates and implements the fund raising plan.
Membership: Recruits and retains members. Plans and implements new member orientations, member involvement and social events.
Voter Services: Voter education, registration and community outreach. See Voter Services Opportunities below for specific teams.

Single-Event Opportunities
As events are scheduled, members are called upon to assist.

The League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County operates with limited funding. We look to our membership to help us find opportunites to increase our revenues. Please indicate below how you can help us raise funds.
Fundraising / Development
Help with Boswell Books Christmas Gift Wrapping and/or Sendik's Community Grill.
Help sell LWV branded commodities (e.g., Colectivo Coffee).
Research grant opportunities.
Write grant proposals.
Research corporate giving and matching donation programs.
Help research and plan other fundraising activities.
