Youth Arabic and Islamic Studies Program Registration

We are thrilled to introduce our Youth Arabic and Quran Program at the Wilsonville Muslim Community Center (WMCC). This program is designed to cater to students of various levels, ensuring each child receives tailored education based on their current knowledge and proficiency in Arabic and Quran. Students will be placed in appropriate levels following an assessment.

Program Details:

  • Start Date: September 14, 2024
  • Weekly Class Schedule:
    • Sundays: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Levels:

  • Beginner: From ages 7–10
  • Intermediate: From ages 7–15
  • Advanced: From ages 7–18

Note: Minimum 5 students per level , maximum 15 students.  Based on demand, students may be grouped further to ensure age/subject appropriateness.

Curriculum:

We will be using the Qaida Nooraniya, taught by experienced Arabic and Quran Instructor, Teacher Hala Shikha.  Ms. Shikha has been teaching k-12 students at the Islamic School of Portland for over 25 years and resides in Tualatin, Oregon.

Tuition:

  • $10 per class (each class is about 1.5 hour session)
  • Payments are made to Teacher Hala on a monthly basis on the 15th of every month.

Students are expected to respect classroom etiquette. (ie. following Teacher Hala's instruction, not be disruptive while class is in session, respect other students,  respect the meeting room space and not be disruptive to the other businesses in the Mt. Jefferson Building. Failure to do so will result in consequences. Repeated incidents will result in removal from classroom and parents will need to pick up their student.) *
I understand that I am responsible for providing transportation for bringing and picking up my child on time. Late pickups past 15 minutes will result in penalty fees.  *
