New for 2025 - Comms
We’re
introducing new race official roles to make our events run more smoothly
and ensure everything stays fair and fun. These roles will include a Chief Comms and a Deputy Comms, also known as “Comms.” at each round.
Chief Comms:
The Chief Comms will take the lead on race day, ensuring everything goes off without a hitch. Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the race and ensuring rules and safety measures are followed.
• Supervising other officials, marshals, and volunteers.
• Approving the course setup and any safety adjustments.
• Handling any disputes, incidents, or questions during the event.
• Verifying race results and resolving timing issues if needed.
Deputy Comms:
The Deputy Comms will work closely with the Chief, taking on specific tasks to support the event. These include:
• Monitoring sections of the course for rule compliance.
• Helping manage rider lineup and race starts.
• Assisting with incidents or disputes that arise.
• Supporting timekeepers and marshals in their roles.
By
introducing these roles, we’re improving the structure and
professionalism of our races, making them better for riders, volunteers,
and spectators alike.
Full training will be given.
