Thank you for your interest in applying to the Survivor Power Institute! Please read the following information before submission:
Applications are due by 11:59 PM CST on August 5, 2022. You will be notified by September 5, 2022 if you've been accepted into the Institute or waitlisted. The registration fee is $500, and payment is due by September 15, 2022 to secure your place in the program. At that time, we will release any available places to waitlisted applicants using a lottery system.
In selecting the cohort, we will be evaluating the following factors:
1. Commitment to gender-based violence and survivor power-building work
2. Leadership experience or potential that indicates likelihood of applying skills learned in future movement work.
3. Diversity in lived experience, geography, organizing issues, and jobs within social justice movements. Preference for people with lived or professional experience with BIPOC, low-income, LGBTQ+, disability, and immigrant communities (this criterion will be evaluated at the cohort level).
HTA has a vaccine requirement for in-person events. In order to participate in the Institute, you must have proof of at least two doses of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
