The Song Meter SM4BAT FS training will be held on July 28 from 1.30-4.40pm. This hands-on workshop will provide an overview of the SM4BAT FS and participants will learn how to design and implement recorder deployments. On July 31, the training begins at 4.35 when recordings will be collected. Participants will learn how to analyze the data, using not only the Wildlife Acoustics classifiers, but also how to review data for species in which classifiers are not available. The focus will be on using Kaleidoscope Pro to produce quantifiable outputs from both large and small data sets.
Please note, the trainings would be on the properties of sound and Wildlife Acoustics equipment only. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
In addition to the bat bioacoustics training session, Wildlife Acoustics will host an evening bat walk using the state-of-the-art Echo Meter Touch 2 PRO handheld bat detector on the evening of July 31. All IBRC registrants are welcome. Extra Echo Meter Touch 2 Pro devices will be available to work on a compatible iOS or Android device with Echo Meter App installed.
