2013 Theme: Changing the Game: Expanding Discourses in Research
The Black Student Network (BSN) and the Institute for Urban and Minority Education (IUME) at Teachers College, Columbia University, with the support of the Vice President's Office for Diversity and Community Affairs and TC Senate, invite you to join us at the 4th Annual Diversity in Research & Practice Conference (DiRP). DiRP seeks to influence the progression of education by assembling students, professors, and community leaders concerned with issues in education.
Last years conference theme, “A Village of Good Work” aimed to motivate a new discourse about the work that is taking place in our schools and communities. This year’s conference theme “Changing the Game: Expanding Discourses in Research”, will expand the discourse about the work that is taking place in our schools and communities. “Changing the Game” will challenge us to think in innovative ways and promote scholars who are “Game Changers” in their respective fields and research. Our exploration of new approaches and perspectives on our impact in education will influence our actions moving forward.
Conference registration is required but the event is FREE and open to all. REGISTER NOW!!
