1. Actively and professionally participate in a minimum of three outreach events organized in Florida by FIRST, and 2. Document involvement in at least three additional outreach events in your community – science fairs, e-week, etc..
By completing this application, we're taking you on your good FIRST word that:
*Your team members have been Gracious Professionals at all times, *Students did the bulk of the outreach , * Students were well informed and articulate about FIRST, and the events at which they represented, and *Your Team actively promoted FIRST
In gratitude for this excellent representation of FIRST, Showcase teams will be:
*Recognized on the FIRST in Florida website at FIRSTFL.org*Receive letters of appreciation from FIRST in Florida, and*Receive a FIRST Blue Ribbon icon to use on team websites and promotional materials
Showcase team status is recognized for one calendar year, and must be renewed each year to keep the designation. Misrepresented applications will be denied and Showcase status can be revoked if team conduct is found to be unbecoming. Showcase team recognition is not an official part of team judging at tournaments, meets or regionals, but is meant to be a personal thank you from FIRST in Florida that can be used to help document outreach, in addition to expressing our gratitude and appreciation for our FIRST community of teams.
