Creating Chances aims to inspire, develop and empower youth to believe in themselves so they contribute positively to society. As the first Social Enterprise in Australia that engages young people through their common passion for sport, Creating Chances makes social impacts in the areas of social inclusion, education, employment and health. The Creating Chances education through sports program was founded in 2013 by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) through Football United. In 2014, in collaboration with Creating Chances Limited (formerly known as the Rugby Youth Foundation), the Creating Chances Social Enterprise was founded through which the Creating Chances education through sports program has been expanded and continues to grow and develop.

At an operational level:

- Creating Chances delivers life skills education through sport through champions, coaches and game-changer programs and special events.

- Football United delivers regular school and community programs, special events and leadership opportunities and access to regular football playing opportunities
