Join Museum researchers for an interactive presentation on bird specimen preparation. You will see the whole process of dissecting birds and preparing study skins for a research collection. In addition to observing the methods in action, you will have the opportunity to participate in the dissection. The program will start with a talk and overview of ornithology research collection methods. Drop-in participants are welcome to see any part of the process during this time. This workshop has an additional practical component this time of year. We’ll show how to deal with those rascal turkeys without having to cut any bones. Amaze your family and friends!
