Terry Higley Award - 2024
This award, named after former ASD French teacher Terry Higley, recognizes an outstanding teacher in a world language other than English at the K-12 level.

Before submitting a recommendation, please make sure the following qualifications are met:

1. Both the nominee and nominator must be members of AFLA.
2. The nominee must have taught for a minimum of five years.
3. The nominee must have been an AFLA member for at least the last three years. The awardee proceeds to compete for Alaska as a candidate for the PNCFL Teacher of the Year (TOY) award, and must meet this membership requirement to advance.
