What is it?
Indigidata Aotearoa (Indigidata) aims to build capacity amongst Māori in: Māori data science, Māori data sovereignty, Māori data ethics, and Māori data applications. For further information visit www.indigidataaotearoa.com

The Indigidata 2026 wānanga is a five day residential programme to be held in Ōtepoti (Dunedin) Monday 30th November to Friday 4th December 2026.
Who can apply?
Applications for Indigidata Aotearoa 2026 (Indigidata) will be considered from Māori students in any discipline, kaimahi Māori and Māori with strong iwi, hapu, community or business connections.  An understanding of data science is useful but not necessary for attendance in the programme.

There are limited places in the programme, successful applicants will notified by 26 October 2026.  Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.  Personal data will be deleted at the conclusion of Indigidata.

Successful applicants will be provided return travel from Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch airports and accommodation at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka Otago University student halls, all meals are provided.  Travel is within Aotearoa only.  For enquires contact indigidataaotearoa@gmail.com.
