Golden Acorn Award Nominations
Each year our PTA gives out various recognition awards to those who have given exemplary volunteer service to children and youth in our community. This is an excellent way to honor PTA members--both parents and staff--for their contribution and dedication to our students and families. Each recipient receives a pin, a special certificate, and a donation made in that person’s name to the Washington State PTA Financial Grant Foundation, which provides scholarships each year to high school graduates entering post-secondary education. Beyond the tangible, these awards are a meaningful recognition of dedication to students.

Please use this nomination process to recognize people who have made a difference! You may nominate more than one person, and you may make nominations for more than one category. Please fill out a nomination form and return to school by Friday, May 19th. A hard copy was sent home with the youngest student in every family, with extras in the school office, or you can fill out this online form. View previous winners at

The Golden Acorn Award
is presented to a volunteer in recognition of his/her dedication and service to children and youth.
The Outstanding Educator Award
is presented to individuals who go beyond the normal expectations of their jobs to make the learning environment fun, beneficial, and challenging. An outstanding educator could be a teacher, assistant, custodian, bus driver, administrator, or community leader.
The Outstanding Advocate
honors an individual for their continued and dedicated service to all children and who demonstrated a commitment to helping create strong policies relating to the health, welfare, safety, and education of children and youth. An outstanding advocate could be a PTA grassroots advocate, teacher, assistant, administrator, or community member.
