Rep. Sargent's Internship Application
Representative Sargent's internship program provides valuable civic experience and unparalleled insight into the inner workings of state government. Representative Sargent's internships are for the duration of one semester for the spring, summer, and fall semesters, with the option to extend upon completion. Interns in Representative Sargent's office will receive hands-on training and experience with the Wisconsin State Legislature, leaving our office with practical knowledge and skills in policy and legal research, graphic design, casework, and constituent services, respectively.

Our internship program is a synthesis of everything we do in our office. General interns do everything from conducting policy research and analysis, to providing constituent services, to event planning and attendance. If you are not a graphic design or marketing student and are not exclusively interested in managing constituent cases, this is the internship area in which you should apply.

Thank you for considering Representative Sargent's office for an internship. Please note a cover letter, resume, and two-page writing sample is required to complete the application process. If you have any questions or concerns about this form or the submission materials, please contact us at, or give us a call at 608.266.0960.

Representative Sargent is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. Women, persons of color, and LGBTQ+-identified persons are encouraged to apply.
