Volunteer Registration- Business of Camp
Thank-you for your interest in volunteering with the 2024 virtual Business of Camp event. We couldn't make this event possible without wonderful volunteers like you!

Volunteers who sign-up for a minimum of two service slots will be given a complimentary registration to the Business of Camp event as a thank-you for your service. This includes 30-day access to the session recordings.

There are three volunteer roles to choose from. Please select the role that best suits your needs, interests and abilities. Please note there is a virtual training session volunteers are asked to attend prior to the Summit. Producers/MCs only need to choose one of the trainings to attend. If you want to volunteer and have previously volunteered in a role for an ACA virtual event, you don't need to attend a training. If you can't attend a training, but want to volunteer, we can make arrangements for you to do so.

February 22nd@1pm EST: Producer/MC Training
February 22nd @ 2pm EST: Collaboration Hub Training
February 23rd@ 12pm EST: Producer/MC Training

Producer Role
The producer serves as the "behind the scenes" volunteer in our virtual Zoom sessions. This person will work as the tech support in the Zoom rooms by managing participants, supporting speaker media such as slides, handout sharing, managing the chat feature, and assisting with any tech issues as they may arise during the session. This person needs to be comfortable in Zoom and know how to operate the features.

We ask each producer to cover a minimum of two sessions that are 50 minutes in length with a 20 minute "tech check" prior to the session starting. Sessions can't be directly back to back to account for the "tech check" overlap.

MC Role
The MC serves as the host volunteer in our virtual Zoom sessions. This person will speak on camera welcoming folks as they arrive, introducing the speaker(s), moderating questions, and making announcements. This person should be comfortable speaking in the virtual platform and be welcoming and friendly.

We ask each MC to cover a minimum of two sessions that are 50 minutes in length with a 20 minute "tech check" prior to the session starting. Sessions can't be directly back to back to account for the "tech check" overlap.

Collaboration Hub Facilitator
The Collaboration Hub Facilitator supports the collaboration hub sessions by facilitating conversations in virtual breakout rooms on previously identified topics. Facilitators will be given questions to help guide topic discussions and keep the conversations rolling.

Micro Session
Micro sessions on day one and day two are 15 minute sessions and will utilize one volunteer to serve as both the Producer/MC for the session.

Someone from the Business of Camp team will contact you about your volunteer registration. In the meantime, if you have any questions please reach out to Erin Flores, eflores@ACAcamps.org .

Thank-you!
