Host a IPinfo Probe Server

IPinfo maintains a fleet of more than a thousand servers across the globe, spanning over 150+ countries. We use active measurements like ping and traceroute to generate precise IP location data.

Hosting a probe server in your network helps ensure consistent accuracy for your prefixes. When we have direct measurement access within your ASN, we can better understand your network architecture and resolve any data conflicts more effectively.

IPinfo Probe Server requirements:

  • 2 CPU cores
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • 40 GB of storage
  • 200 GB+ of monthly bandwidth limit
  • 5 MBPS+ bandwidth speed
  • Ubuntu 24.04
  • 1 IPv4
  • Unmanaged

If you can offer IPv6 IPs, that will be great. If you cannot offer IPv6, that is fine. This is optional.

We do not need any additional software or control panels installed on the server. We do not need managed services, backups, a firewall, or any software. A basic Ubuntu installation, 1 public IP address, and the ability for us to SSH is enough.

We prefer a VM/VPS based service. If you do not have a virtualization solution, please fill out the form and we can discuss.
