GSC-DEI Fellows Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming a GSC-DEI Fellow! We are seeking a group of Fellows with diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and life histories for this innovative program.

The DEI Graduate Fellows are a cohort of 30 MIT graduate students seeking to create a more equitable, inclusive, and engaging MIT community. This program is sponsored by the Graduate Student Council Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (GSC DEI), the Office of Graduate Education (OGE), MindHandHeart (MHH), and the Institute Community and Equity Office (ICEO).

Program Timeline:

o 1 year program, with the option to continue as a Fellow if interested.

o During IAP 2021, Fellows will learn how to effectively facilitate productive conversations about race, racism, and social justice through an intensive, professional training workshop held by the Interaction Institute for Social Change (IISC). Tentatively, this training will be on a T/R afternoon schedule, 1-4 PM, for 3 weeks of IAP.

o In Spring 2021, the Fellows will lead up to three institute-wide, in-person, peer-to-peer gradCommunity Dialogues on the themes of race, intersectional identities, and social justice to extend the learning of MIT’s DEI online module.

o In Fall 2021, the Fellows will train a new cohort of facilitators to multiply and expand the program’s reach across the MIT community.

Note: Applications are due by November 25 2020
