- living, working or studying in West Yorkshire
- someone who did not receive a previous finalist place in the Mayor’s big ideas challenge
Welcome to the Mayor's big ideas challenge 2026. We are looking for creative ideas that address the Mayor's challenge: what creative and inclusive ideas do you have to make the lives of young people in West Yorkshire healthier and happier? For further guidance on what we're looking for,
visit the Big Ideas Challenge website.
We'll use the answers to decide who gets a place on the programme. All applications will be assessed using the same marking criteria.
You can upload your answers in written format, or video or audio file.
You can apply as an
individual or as a
team of two people. If you apply as a team, only one of you needs to complete the form. You will need to answer questions on behalf of your team member. If you have a team larger than two people please contact us to discuss this by emailing
