In response to potential health concerns with student-athletes who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) has developed recommended guidelines to ensure children are ready to return to education-based athletics. Please closely read the below document entitled, “CIF Recommended Evaluation & Cardiac Testing for COVID-19 (+) Athletes Returning to Education-Based Athletics.” As a reminder, your COVID-positive student-athlete must complete a minimum of five days in isolation and may test on day five. They may return to school and participate in athletics on day six IF they test negative AND their symptoms have improved.
