Apply to 4DX Cohort (The DX Club)
We're building a community of doers at @DXClubIO (less talk and more action). If you're someone who does what they say or want to become one, read on. I've been setting up things with a small group in Dec and ready to scale now. The first official 4DX cohort kicks off on Jan 7th and runs for 21 days. If you'd like to participate, fill out this form.
The structure is based on the book "The 4 Disciplines of Execution". The author, Chris McChesney, defines the disciplines as:
1. Focus on the Wildly Important Goal (WIG)
2. Act on the Lead Measures (as opposed to lag measures)
3. Keep a Compelling Scoreboard
4. Create a Cadence of Accountability
This year, break down your new-year resolutions and become a disciple of execution. Start small with a 21-day goal and build some momentum. Get a weekly streak going.
Ground Rules:
1. Commit to anything for 21 days. The domain could be anything: Build a side project, write a blog, practice music, improve your design eye, learn a new language, work on open-source, read more, become fit, learn about finance, improve product thinking, build a meditation habit, etc. The only thing we ask is that your goal should be S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound).
2. Post a proof of work whenever you make progress.
3. Every week, self-evaluate your progress. Missing one week is okay. You drop out if you don't progress for 2 weeks. Talk about the challenges you're facing. We'll help you recalibrate goals and lead measures based on last week's data.
4. Have fun!
Timeline:
Jan 1 - Applications open
Jan 5 - Applications close
Jan 6 - Kick-off by understanding the difference between lead and lag measures. Get to know each other.
Jan 7 - Cohort starts
Jan 28 - Cohort ends
Come for the accountability, stay for the community. #TheDXClub
