The umpire ejects R3 for dropping her shoulder on a play at home. The offense as a result of the ejection only has only has 8 players remaining. The PU rules a forfeit in favour of the defensive team

Two runners occupy the same base at the same time.  The first runner to the base is generally entitled unless forced.

R1. B3 hits a fair ball to left field. R1 stops half way between 1st and 2nd, thinking the ball may be caught. B3 does not see R1 stop and passes R1 on their way to 2nd base. BU calls B3 out for "passing". The ball remains live.

With the ball held in their bare hand, F4 touches R1 with their glove as R1 runs toward 2nd base and then throws the ball to 1st base for a play on the BR.  PU rules R1 out.

For the sake of the game and to get the call correct, an umpire should reverse an incorrect call made by one of the other umpires.

A base coach may only address players on their team.

The PU communicates the count with balls being shown with the fingers of the left hand and strikes being shown with the fingers of the right hand. Consecutive fingers should be used in displaying the count.

If an umpire loses the count on the batter, they can communicate to their partner in a non-verbal manner by placing both opened hands against the chest. Their partner can respond by providing the count with fingers on the chest. Similar to providing the count to the teams, balls will be indicated with the right hand and strikes with the left hand.

In a 2-umpire system, the PU has responsibility for Runners at 3rd Base and Home Plate. The exceptions to this rule are that the BU has responsibility for the Batter Runner on all bases, for Force Plays at 3rd Base and on steals from 2nd Base to 3rd Base.
