We love being able to showcase dishes from all around the globe at the international sampler. If you would like to make a dish, you can sign up using the sheet below.

FAQ's

1. What is international sampler
An opportunity to celebrate Kingdom Builders local and global outreach testimonies together by sampling foods prepared by “you” of your choice from different cultures in America and the world. For those who bring samples - they set up in a 4’ space and serve bite size samples as people come to their table. 

2. What types of food do people usually bring?
Food samples from different cultures in America and around the world. 

3. How can I see what other people are making so I don’t make the same thing?
It is ok to bring the same thing as someone else but if you want to see other sign ups, click here

4. How much do I need to make and how should I serve it?
Enough bite size samples for 300 people. Chris G's illustration every year - “if you were bringing enchiladas, don’t make an enchilada for 300 people, make enough enchiladas to give 300 people one spoon bite size of an enchilada.”

5. Do I need to factor in dietary restrictions or provide the ingredients?
You do not need to but if you feel there is something with peanuts, dairy, shell fish (the common allergies) to avoid answering the same question by multiple people, you for sure can provide the recipe or ingredients on a print out sheet. 

6. What do I need to bring and what does the church provide?
Bring your dish and if in a crock pot - bring an extension cord.

7. Do I need to decorate my table and section?
You can decorate your table but it is not required. You only have 4’ of an 8’ table

8. How long do I have to set up and decorate my station?
Church is open by 5:00. We ask all food and decorations ready on table by 5:45

9. If I’m serving, can I still go around and try the other food?
You can go around if you have a family member or friend willing to help you serve from your table. There is always a win in teamwork. 

10. Is there a meal provided outside of the sampler?
Yes, Christian Chapel provides a main and dessert for the event. 

11. Can I bring a sampler even if I didn’t sign up?
We are not going to turn down food, but to help with logistics, we ask that you do take the time to sign up.

12. Does it have to be savory or can I bring something sweet?
You can bring savory or sweet

13. Can I serve multiple entries?
You can serve multiple entires but you must sign those up individually to have more table space and at that point would recommend you have a friend or family member help you.

14. Can I use the church Kitchen?
The kitchen will not be available. You will bring your food straight to the gym.

15. How big is my station?
One station if half of an 8’ rectangle table.
