ECET2NJPA 2017/2018 Call For Proposals

ECET2 stands for Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers. It was born out of a desire to provide a forum for exceptional teachers to learn from one another and to celebrate the teaching profession.

This is our fourth year hosting an ECET2 regional convening, one of the largest in the country. For the first time we will be hosting two convenings in one school year. Our fall convening will be held on September 30 - October 1, 2017, and our spring convening will be held on March 3 - 4, 2018. You may submit a proposal for either - or both!

Workshops at the convening should be designed to inform and inspire colleagues, develop attendees’ leadership potential, and hone their craft. Workshop proposals may focus on an aspect of education (core content, technology integration, social emotional learning, education leadership, or race and culture). Please know you are not limited to these, and we encourage any and all ideas you have for a workshop you'd like to lead.

Part of the ECET2NJPA experience will be structured in a traditional conference format where workshops will be 50 minutes in length. Please use this form to propose your idea for a workshop. Proposals must be received by June 15, 2017 to be considered. Accepted presenters will be notified via email on or before August 1, 2017. Should you have any questions, please contact Liz Calderwood (liz1544@gmail.com) or Steve Figurelli (steve.figurelli@edison.k12.nj.us).

**Please note to increase our 25% rate of acceptance for proposals we are offering two convenings. We receive many stellar, high-quality submissions that undergo a multi-faceted, rigorous analysis for both content and alignment to the mission of the convenings. To better ensure this alignment and increase your opportunity for acceptance, please visit our website: www.ecet2njpa.org and read our theme for 2017-2018 prior to submitting your proposal(s).
