2017 Year 5 - 6 Snowsport Parent Help
For the programme to be successful a significant number of parent helpers are needed. Without your help this programme cannot run.

Parent helpers are required for the whole day (9am to 3pm) and are responsible for a group of up to 10 students. Parents will be with their group all day with the exception of the time that students are having their 1.5 hour group lesson with their instructor.
This is then your time to free ski/board with the exception of the first day when you will be required to participate in an ‘on snow’ safety briefing and share in group management skills. This is a compulsory programme for parent helpers to attend.
We require parents of all ski/boarding levels – you do not have to be an expert!
A more detailed information booklet will be distributed to our parent helpers closer to the commencement of the programme.

Parent Help Requirements

Parent helpers must attend a compulsory induction to the programme regardless of having been a parent help previously due to significant changes in our systems and procedures.
Parents will be required to sign an agreement outlining the Standard Operating Procedures for parent help.
High visibility vests are to be worn by students, staff and parents. We will issue one to you each week that must be returned at the end of the day.
Helmets are compulsory for participants - students, staff and parent helpers.
If you do not have a season pass we can provide a pass for the day you are helping.
Parent helpers are welcome to take their own child to and from the mountain. However, the child must sign in each morning with the Mountain Co-ordinator and sign out at the end of the day. No other child will be allowed to be transported by another parent.
Our groups are structured so that students enjoy their ski/board experience independently of their parents – therefore you are not able to supervise your own child.
We also require a few non-skiing/boarding parents to assist with the smooth running of the day at Coronet Peak. This position is located on the deck of the base building. If you are interested please select the “Deck” option on the attached form.

If one of you is able to assist then please complete the parent help #1 section of the attached form, if there are two of you wishing to help then please complete the parent help # 1 and parent help #2 sections. Please complete this on-line form by Monday 29 May 2017
