Upcoming Discussions Sessions with Shauna Pemberton and Patricia Suleiman
The next two upcoming group counselling support sessions with racialized counsellors — Sawan and Tara from Student Counselling and Development at YorkU will feature professionals from the Black legal community who will share insights and facilitate discussion about some of the topics - ranging from imposter syndrome to navigating anti-Black racism and colourist in the legal profession - BLSA members have requested (via a survey taken this past summer) to hear more about.
On Monday, November 2nd from 1pm-3pm we will have the pleasure of hearing from Shauna Pemberton, an Osgoode Alumni currently working as a Criminal Defense Lawyer.
On Monday, November 9th from 1pm-3pm we will have the pleasure of hearing from Patricia Suleiman, a Staff Lawyer at Black Legal Action Centre (BLAC).
