CONSENT
You have received this link because you are a language teacher (e.g., ESL/EFL or Modern Foreign Language). You are being invited to take part in a research project about your psychological and social experiences during this period of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19). Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

This study will involve answering a 10-15-minute survey; there is no cost or payment to you for participating. This research will help inform understandings of how teachers are coping with the effects of the pandemic on their teaching and lives. The data you provide will be analysed by the researchers named below. By taking part, you are agreeing that you have read and understood the information about the study below.

What is involved?
You will be asked to complete the survey anonymously. You can opt out by closing this window now. If you choose to continue, you can refuse to answer any of the questions or quit at any time without saving your responses. Your participation is entirely voluntary.

You will be asked questions about teaching, stressors, coping behavior, your recent mental and physical reactions, and your activities.

Please note that some of these questions can be considered sensitive, so if you are having difficulty coping these days, feel fragile or are concerned that responding to these questions might have a negative impact on you in any way, please do not continue.

If you choose to continue, your data will only be used for this study and not shared. Your anonymous data will be stored indefinitely at the end of the survey period and afterwards used only by bona fide researchers involved with the study. When responses are submitted, we will not be able to identify or remove a specific person’s data.

Concerns
If you have any concerns about the study or wish to discuss your reactions with the researchers, you can contact any of us by email at any time.
